What the future holds...

Seasons' Greetings!
As we face a new year we face new challenges; nothing insurmountable, but it's definitely not business as usual. Yet, I am still convinced that as long as we work as a collective unit, there is nothing that we cannot overcome. More than ever, we need to work together to uplift women (professionally and personally) as we address the issues of business.

We are not alone, networking groups are seeing a decline, for what ever reason – saturation, no time, no business… Regardless, this is not the time to stay in – this is the time to stay vigilant and work every angle possible.

If you are not visible – no one will look for you, they will assume you are gone. With this economy the best marketing tool and resource is you. I will repeat - you are your best marketing tool – clear, committed and hands on.

Use gatherings to investigate your company power, market stability, who are the decision makers, and build relationships (not clients).

Don’t just collect cards, make dates to follow up and be committed to that follow up for results.
Share information that can help others, and you will see that the generosity is returned.

Be genuine and be ready to do business at any given time.

The first meeting for WOTW –Gettysburg Network will take place on January 13, 2011 from 5pm – 7pm, at the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel -in which we will decide the fate of the network. PlEASE RSVP lwherley@wyndham.com by December 23, 2010.

Networking can work - if you come out and participate!

I wish you all the best this holiday season and I truly look forward to seeing you soon.

Warm regards,

Carol Burns
